[ Tossing Yato his tantou was a good decision. Were he not fueled by fear, then a wave of relief, he's glad that Yato listened. It means a lot, okay! But also yes, it proves to be an illusion of the fog than either Anya or Aki... Geez, whatever this is aimed low, doesn't it? But Yato bought it, Yanagi did a bit too. A risk saved them both from a crazy lady

Yanagi gets up partway, watching the kimono and hair dissolve under him and Yato. ]

I'm alright.

[ At his feet now, he goes over to grab Yato's sword from the ground and then his sheath. He scans around for any trace of the crazy imposter apparition lady, like there might be anything left. Or really anything in the fog. They'd both be armed, but a full-sized katana is a bit much for a kid. ]

Who's Anya?

[ A different topic from the fog stuff? He figures that might go better. ]

[ Yato stands slowly and offers Yanagi his dagger back in exchange for the katana. He would ask why a kid as young as Yanagi has a dagger like that on his hands, but 1) this is Recolle and 2) this is Aki's brother.

This would normally be Yato's chance to gush about Anya for 2000 words, but he's tired and this isn't really the time for a rant, so how to put this succinctly? ]

She's my friend. An important one...

[ "Friend" sounds like too mild a word for their relationship, but there you go. ]

Maybe we both saw the people important to us.

[ Yanagi takes back his knife, swapping out the yato-katana for it. Since it's a regain, he's oddly... content to have it back. Not that he minds at all lending it to someone in need. ]

Okay, I figured. You wouldn't let me hurt her at first, after all.

[ One day, whem Yato is less tired he can go on and on about precious friendships. Thank you dear friend in arms for it all thout. He's glad to have it when things get messy like this after all, even if getting a dagger is indeed odd for a kid. It's like, fancy-ish too. ]

I bet we did, and that's how she snares her victims... I mean, Aki-nee would never wear a kimono like that. Too girly, and too revealing, right? So... maybe that was a demon or something.

[ How were Anya's idol legs? Yanagi can only laugh at how skinny his sis was. ]

i was a soldier in ww2

i did fight the bear off but not the same way
i remember wrestling the thing and killing it with my bare hands
but i have no idea how i could manage it the way i am right now that thing was huge
when i fought it last month i had to bait it into running into a bunch of cars until it hurt itself

Anyway though, if you believe the souls part of what Ms. Wiseman posted, then you got a bit of a ways to go before you're your old ww2 giant bear-punching self.

Well, now we both have it. Thanks for something Retrospec, the way you did this to 99% of other former users almost had me lose hope.

That's something at least. You have Saku-nee and Yato-kun to help you with dangerous situations, they both have swords and can use them alright.

[ He gives them a lot of credit... Maybe a bit too much as some of Taira blood. But at least he didn't say "I'll protect you Aki-nee" or something tropey like that, he wonders if she still doesn't like this. Or his sword, he kind of saw through that. ]

It's definitely a perk of being here. People are usually nice. We all want to figure out what's going on, even if we like our normal lives too.

By the way, the population of Recolle who can read the post by Ms. Wiseman here, as in they have access, is the minority. But, by common sense that's a little obvious.

We're surprisingly well put-together? Or adaptable so that the rest of the city don't think we're crazy. Anyway, despite the confusion at what this post is about, do you think you;ll be alright?

In stories, the bad guy or really awful people treat the lives of others like a game, don't they? I don't Retrospec is evil though, just misguided with a bad sense of humor and priorities.

Honestly, trying to live you life like it's still normal, just with this new app at your side is fine too. It's social media, so treating it like it's a normal one... What do you really want to do in November?

The wording of the post written up seems to suggest their priority is saving souls or universes. I suppose I shouldn't judge until I read through everything that was put out in the past, form my own impression.

Don't have plans for November. Get to know the city better, mostly.

Good intentions! I can give them that much, but sometimes they don't feel like they have a very good grip on...

Let's call it their superpower! Over reality. That's why people get mad at them, and it's really the only agreeable outlet.

Yeah, I knew him too as a teammate, and he was a kind-hearted person. I'm... kida of angry? I don't know why, but maybe I'm subconsciously upset at the fog thing being like a wrong memory.

[ Maybe the garlands are instinctively afraid of Sir Slice-a-lot... but then again, they caught his senior without any hesitation. Someone really needs a luck check here.

Also if he makes a garland-ribbon-yarn themed ensemble, at least someone can proudly wear the remains of his longtime enemies, if that recognition of what Yanagi's talking about is anything to go by. ]

[ He's kidding, mostly. But as it's a very spontaneous app, just having function where it would randomly find you a good post doesn't seem all that farfetched. Or you can believe Yanagi hit the Way Back button as far as he could. ]

I can't believe carrying a sword around is this useful. I thought you were being a little crazy back then, but as crazy as everything at the time, really.

And I guess I can't blame you for that. I mean, any normal person would think it's prooobably more than just a little crazy. It really does come in handy way more than it should, though.

[As he picks bits and pieces of garland off of his person and deposits them gently on the ground in front of their brethren. Hopefully they won't move when sliced into bits, that'd be even creepier.]

If the little guys hummed classical music or catchy movie themes, they'd be great for for making videos. That would be cute.
